It took inspiration from family and personal experience to make the bold decision of being a nurse. Often people would tell how an excellent surgeon I will become. I firmly believe that my childhood experiences with animals initiated my love for sciences that lead to pursue nursing. All my life I have always wanted something that will put me in caregiving position, something that would equip me with a benefiting factor towards people around me. I strongly believe am compassionate since the well-being of people around me has always been my primary concern. Since nursing is well known as a caring profession, I couldnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬t think of any better career that will give me the opportunity to take care of others.The satisfaction of a task excellently and passionately carried out, the fear of endangering a patientà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s life, the need to offer real services as well as pride in a job is well done greatly motivates me to do what I do. Nursing being a delicate profession that deals with people lives, I believe that my role as a nurse is a critical one and failing to work to my ultimate best may result in massive consequences (Moore , 2012). Thus, I usually work to get the desired respect which comes with my profession, to get that genuine thank you from joyous patients whose health is improving. All this provides me the peace of mind to sleep soundly with a clear conscience.I wake up every day motivated to make a difference, not because of the pay, coworkers or the shiny lights, but because i will spend the whole shift will being a team player interacting with patients whom I can change their lives positively by giving them the best health care.
